The Socialite bumps into, photographer Greg Papazian, and ask him a question.
The Socialite: What do I look for in a model as a fashion photographer?
Greg Papazian: I don’t really consider myself a fashion photographer. I think of my self more as a Fine Art Photographer that always includes a model. As for what I look for in a model, this is an interesting question. I choose my models for their unique everyday beauty, they usually do not fit into the high fashion model mold. I look for unknown models just starting out in their careers, they have more of an innocence to them and a strong desire to succeed. I have to have models that are comfortable in their own body’s. I personally prefer models that will do Fine Art Nudes. They usually are less inhibited and have a more comfortable idea of what to do with their body. Most of the photos I shoot are not nudes, but with the model having this capability seems to make things easier on the set, even when it is not called for. A good model is like an acrobat, very flexible, constantly changing position and exudes confidence. The moment they step in front of the camera you know if they have it.
If you are a model looking for a great photographer, you can contact Greg on his website.

I give my heart to what I do because my career will never roll over in the morning and say it doesn’t love me anymore.

The Socialite caught up with, photographer, Marco Tenaglia, and asked him this question.
Q: What one photo in your collection of photos, changed the way you saw things as a photographer? A: Last spring I was looking at my portfolio and I was not so happy. Too many standard-looking commercial photos, and between them just one of my earlier photos really attracted my attention. It was shot in film, in black and white, and I even thought it was an old photo, but it looked new to me. Life is just too fast, I want to take photos which remain. So I got my decision to change my way and do only what I really love, timeless b&w photos.
